Without the help and dedication of our volunteers, Capture Photography Festival would not be able to program such a broad range of projects, exhibitions, and events.

Festival volunteers assist in a variety of roles in the following areas:
- Events: Providing customer service and front-of-house assistance including, but not limited to, managing guest lists, media check in, coat check, ushering, and pouring drinks and selling drink tickets.
- Gallery Sitting: Welcoming visitors to Capture exhibitions and public art installations, keeping track of attendance, and discussing the artwork with the public.
- Photography: Documenting our public art projects, exhibition openings, and events. If you have experience in this type of documentary photography, we’d like to see some examples of your work. High-quality documentation of Festival activities is vital for Capture, as photographs are used for funding applications and for marketing the Festival. Photographers will be credited whenever images are used externally.
- Capture Docent: Leading public art tours, gallery hops, and other such events with the public. This is a more involved volunteer role that also requires some in-office time with Capture staff to learn about programming and to collaboratively produce scripts, tour routes, discussion points, and so on.
