The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre (VHEC) is Western Canada’s leading Holocaust teaching museum, reaching 25,000 students annually. The VHEC produces acclaimed exhibitions, innovative school programs, and teaching materials, including online exhibitions, and presents numerous public cultural and commemorative events throughout the year. The centre maintains a museum collection and archives, Holocaust survivor testimony project, and a library and resource centre.
The VHEC’s 2017 Renewal Project, supported by the Government of Canada’s Canada 150: Community Infrastructure Program, enhances the ability of the VHEC to preserve, facilitate access to, and advance the educational use of its unique collection of Holocaust-related testimonies, museum objects, and archival materials.
