City of Richmond and Capture Photography Festival public art project artist call

The City of Richmond Public Art Program in collaboration with the Capture Photography Festival seek photography-based submissions for the No. 3 Road Art Columns at Lansdowne and Aberdeen Canada Line Stations.

We aim to encourage artists and artist teams residing in British Columbia to submit a proposal for new work that considers the ongoing relationship between the natural landscapes of Richmond and the City’s rapidly growing built environment.

Six artists will be selected for this opportunity. Each artist and/or artist team will receive an artist fee of $1,500 CAD to produce four (4) print-ready digital artwork files. Production and installation costs will be the responsibility of the City of Richmond.

Artist Fee: $1,500 CAD

Eligibility Requirements: Artists residing in British Columbia

Deadline for Submissions: Monday, October 3, 2016, 5:00 p.m.

Installation: Exhibition 11, Part 1 – February–July 2017
    Exhibition 11, Part 2 – August 2017–January 2018
