Juliana Sohn is a Korean American photographer who documents how we live our lives, recording cultural events and social phenomena from a personal perspective. Her work ranges from very intimate portraits of her children sleeping to observations on environments and members of unique communities. Collaboration plays an important role in Sohn’s work; she often incorporates interviews into her process, giving her subjects a voice and allowing their words to accompany their images. She graduated with a BFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design (1992). Since then, Sohn has honed her skills as an editor and expert storyteller from her many years working in photojournalism. She is currently based in New York.
