Laura Dutton holds a BFA from Concordia University (2006) and an MFA from the University of Victoria (2011). Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions at Deluge Contemporary Art (Victoria); Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art (Kelowna); Esker Foundation Project Space (Calgary); PAVED Arts (Saskatoon); VU Photo (Quebec City); and Xchanges Gallery (Victoria). Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery; Franc Gallery (Vancouver); Chernoff Fine Art (Vancouver); Open Space (Victoria); Gallery Jones (Vancouver); First Canadian Place Gallery (Toronto); Art Mur (Montreal); and the Victoria Arts Council. Dutton’s work was included in, Ensuing Pictures, the inaugural opening exhibition of Capture Photography Festival in 2013, and she was the Québec provincial winner of the 2006 BMO First Art competition. Her work resides in the public collections of the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. She currently lives and works on the unceded territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples in Victoria, BC.
