Chernoff Fine Art’s (CAF) mandate is to support and mentor emerging and mid-career contemporary artists, focusing on painting and photo-based works, and to provide a dynamic environment that will engage the viewer on multiple levels, fostering and expanding their relationship to art.
CFA shows a wide range of artists, from recent Emily Carr graduates exhibiting their first solo show to midcareer artists wanting a space to show alternative work that might not be appropriate for their primary gallery.
CFA has a unique place in the art community, operating as both a fine art framing business and an exhibition space. Unlike a commercial gallery, CFA does not represent the artists it shows, but merely gives them a space to exhibit their work and helps develop relationships between artists, collectors, and galleries.
