Crummy Gallery is a mobile art/gathering space which aims to support emerging artists and cultural practitioners as a site of critical discourse, creative experimentation, and community engagement.
By entering into dialogue with the “crummy”, a vehicle used to transport resource workers to and from the worksite, the gallery directly confronts the ongoing legacy of settler-colonial extractivism and works to transform our relationship with the land and one another through responsibility, collaboration, and alternative care-based ways of working.
Throughout March and April 2024 Crummy Gallery will be located at lot 51 on Granville Island, across the street from 1494 Old Bridge Street.
