Adrienne Fast is the Curator of Art & Visual Culture at the Reach Gallery Museum in Abbotsford. She holds a PhD in art history and theory from the University of British Columbia, and an MA in art history from the University of London. While her academic interests have focused particularly on historical and modern art from Asia, in her curatorial practice she has contributed to a diverse range of exhibitions, from historical First Nations art from the Northwest Coast, to experimental installation and performance art in Vancouver in the 1960s and 70s, to contemporary performance photography.
Most recently Fast served as Interim Curator of the Kamloops Art Gallery, and previously she was an Assistant Curator at the Vancouver Art Gallery. She has taught many university courses on South Asian art history, both in Canada and the US, and later in 2018 she will become a Faculty Associate with the South Asian Studies Institute at the University of the Fraser Valley.
