Aurélia Bizouard is a visual artist working with glass art and light projection. Her work is created with reverse painting on glass panels, sometimes using light to project the art on the wall or bodies. Working with glass is a metaphor for life and a representation of the importance of living, the uniqueness of everything around us, from the contemplation of human existence to the beauty of ordinary things. Through action painting, Bizouard searches for the hidden meaning of life and the unconscious expressed by intuitive painting.
After moving from her native France to Canada in 2008, she began in 2011 using acrylic and glass as a canvas for her paintings. Her painting is now intuitive, abstract, expressionist, and figurative. Bizouard’s studio is located in the art and design district of Railtown in Vancouver.
