Bruce Grenville has been Senior Curator at the Vancouver Art Gallery since 1997. He works extensively in the field of visual culture and has organized numerous thematic group exhibitions that address the fundamental importance of design, architecture, digital media, and publications within the evolution of contemporary cultural production. Most recently he co-curated MashUp: The Birth of Modern Culture (2016). Earlier projects include Grand Hotel: Redesigning Modern Life (2013), Massive Change: The Future of Global Design (2004–05), a survey of contemporary design, conceived and presented in collaboration with Bruce Mau Design and the Institute Without Boundaries; WE VANCOUVER: 12 Manifesto’s for the City (2011); and KRAZY! The Delirious World of Comics + Anime + Video Games + Art (2008).
