Chad Wong is an emerging Hong Kong Canadian visual artist residing in Vancouver, British Columbia. Born in 1993, Wong received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia. His exhibitions include Empty Spaces that Fill My Heart at Aberdeen Skytrain Station (2022) and Ma Fan Cafe at the Richmond Art Columns in 2018 organized by Richmond Art Gallery. Wong’s work explores the evolving cultural landscapes of the Chinese-Canadian diaspora. His photographs have been featured in Aint-Bad Magazine, Broad Magazine and C-Mag. Notable accolades include being shortlisted for the Portfolio Prize (2022) and longlisted for the Lind Prize (2021). Wong’s art captures the intricate connections between identity and space, inviting viewers to delve into the profound narratives of the diaspora community.
