cheyanne turions is a curator, cultural worker and writer based in Vancouver. She holds a master’s degree in Visual Studies from the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto. Her work positions exhibitions and engagement as civic gestures. By linking aesthetic practices and publics through discourse, this methodology assumes a connection between the propositions embedded in artworks and the possibility for social, political and institutional transformation through collective imagining. Currently, turions is the Curator at SFU Galleries and sits on the Board of Directors at 221A.
