Deb Silver (Coast Salish, Sumas First Nation) is a Fraser Valley-based photographer, printmaker, and sculptor. She was born and raised on the traditional territory of the Semá:th people and now lives on Pelhó’lhxw territory, home to the Xwchíyò:m people. Her art practice blends Coast Salish cultural teachings with scientific inquiry, focusing on plant knowledge, ecology, analogue photography, and printmaking. She is an Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at the University of the Fraser Valley.
