Eileen Quinlan is a Brooklyn-based photographer. Avoiding digital interventions in favour of analog techniques, Quinlan builds visually complex environments from objects such as mirrored tiles and reflective Mylar, capturing these assemblages as abstract still lifes using medium- and large-format cameras. Her work is currently in the group exhibitions Lens Work: Celebrating LACMA’s Experimental Photography at 50, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and New Acquisitions at Whitworth Gallery, Manchester. In addition, she was recently featured in Blum & Poe’s Technokinesis (2014) in Los Angeles and New York. Forthcoming exhibitions include solo shows at Campoli Presti in Paris and London, UK (2015). Quinlan graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University in 2005.
