Frances Hart D’Emilio

Frances Hart D’Emilio is a Vancouver-based emerging artist and holds a BA in visual art with a minor in sociocultural anthropology from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. D’Emilio currently works as a technician in the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory at UBC. Their art practice involves a range of mediums, primarily printmaking, photography, and installation. Before attending UBC in 2010, D’Emilio was part of the founding collective of the Purple Thistle Centre in Vancouver and has been active in the social justice movement both in Vancouver and Toronto since the age of fourteen.
