Gabriel Esteban Molina (b.1989, Edmonton, AB; lives and works in Edmonton, AB) holds a BFA from the University of Alberta (2013) and an MA:FA From the Chelsea College of Arts (2015). His work has been shown in solo exhibitions at Yamamoto Keiko Rochaix (London, England), Outvert Space (Isafjordur, Iceland), and The Southern Alberta Art Gallery Library series(Lethbridge, AB). His group shows include The Scene at the Art Gallery of Alberta (Edmonton), IMAGINARY | BOUNDARIES Part I at BEARSPACE (London, England), and PIXFILM Collective and The Artificial Museum’s Translunar Formations, an AR group exhibition on the moon that was shown as part of Nuit Blanche (Toronto). His projects have received funding from the Edmonton Arts Council, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and the Canada Council for the Arts. In 2021, Gabriel was awarded the Edmonton Artists Trust Fund, and in 2023, Gabriel was longlisted for the Scotiabank New Generation Photography Prize and the Eldon and Anne Foote Prize. His next solo exhibitions will be at TREX Space (Medicine Hat, 2024) and at Yamamoto Keiko Rochaix (London, 2024). He currently lives and works in Edmonton, AB.
