Gloria Wong is a visual artist based in so-called “Vancouver”, on the unceded territories of the the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. She holds a BFA in Photography from Emily Carr University of Arts + Design (2020). Her work has been exhibited both locally and internationally, with solo exhibitions at Friends Indeed Gallery (San Francisco, 2021), Telephone Gallery (Vancouver, 2021), and group exhibitions at The Reach Museum (Abbotsford, 2020), Seymour Art Gallery (Vancouver, 2021), and The Polygon Gallery (Vancouver, 2021). Wong was the recipient of the Chick Rice Award for Excellence in Photography (2020), and the Carole Badgley Emerging Artist Award (2021), and was shortlisted for The Lind Prize (2021).
