Graeme Wahn (b. Nelson, BC, 1992) lives in Vancouver where he is currently completing his MFA at Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts. Through his work, Wahn consciously investigates photography’s ontological precipice, examining the inherent contradictions between a photograph’s subject matter and the internal systems of its making. Some keywords to offer a partial overview of his work: spatial deception, material representations, and hindered visions. Wahn has exhibited widely in Vancouver, most notably with solo and group exhibitions at such venues as the Vancouver Art Gallery, CSA Space, and The Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver.
