Gwenessa Lam is a visual artist and educator who lives and works in Calgary. Her artwork stems from interests in perception and the compression of time and memory within images. Lam received her BFA from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, and MFA from New York University. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York; Queens Museum of Art, New York; Galerie de l’UQAM, Montreal; and Glenbow Museum, Calgary.
