Kvet Nguyen

Kvet Nguyen (Hoa Nguyen Thi) holds a BA and MA from Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (2019, 2021) and currently continues her PHD studies there. Her work has been exhibited worldwide at Galeria Promocyjna ASP (Krakow, 2017), theprintspace (London, 2017), Uniwersytet artistyczny (Poznan, 2017), OFF FESTIVAL (Bratislava, 2017), SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO (Bratislava, 2018), Kvaka 22 (Belgrade, 2018), festival [fjúžn] (Bratislava, 2018, 2022), The Grey Space in the Middle (Hague, 2020), Nitra Gallery (Nitra, 2020), Karlín Studio (Prague, 2021), Ján Koniarek Gallery (Trnava, 2021, 2022), Zlín Youth Salon (Zlin, 2021), Hybernská Gallery (Prague, 2021), Pisztóri Palace (Bratislava, 2022). Her works were presented in solo exhibitions at Soda Gallery (Bratislava, 2021), ČEPAN Gallery (Trnava, 2021), Artapiešťany (Piešťany, 2020), Kalab (Bratislava, 2020). Her upcoming shows in 2022 are at Blansko City Gallery and Slovak Insititute in Budapest along with a residency in Prague. Nguyen was the 2021 laureate of the Young Artist Award by Tatra Banka foundation. She is also a 2021 recipient of the Award Photographer of the Year by Central European House of Photography. Her recent achievement is the honorary award from Startpoint Prize with a focus on European diploma works. She currently lives and works in Bratislava, Slovakia.
