Leanne Olson holds a BA in Film and Media Studies from the University of Alberta (2003) and an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria (2021). Olson has completed artist residencies at the Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity (2021, 2017), the Museum for Future Fossils Summer School (Western University and New York University, 2019), and the Edmonton Waste Management Centre for a year (2018). Olson has exhibited at Mitchell Art Gallery (Edmonton), Deluge Contemporary Art (Victoria, 2020), Artlab Gallery (London, Ontario, 2019) and SNAP Gallery (Edmonton, 2017). She lives and works on the unceded territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples in Victoria, BC where she is Curator at The Vault Gallery and a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Victoria.
