Marian Penner Bancroft

Marian Penner Bancroft’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and can be found in a number of collections including those of the Vancouver Art Gallery; the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, Vancouver; the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; and Canada House, London, UK. In 2012, the Vancouver Art Gallery mounted a 1975–2000 survey of Bancroft’s work entitled SPIRITLAND:t/HERE. In the same year, she received the Audain Prize for Lifetime Achievement in the Visual Arts. Bancroft is Professor Emeritus at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver and her work is represented by Republic Gallery, Vancouver.
