Mike Grill works primarily with black and white photography, using both digital and traditional photographic processes and printing techniques in tandem to document scenes of the vernacular world, of the day to day, and of the people that inhabit it. Grill’s serendipitous imagery has a tendency to recall figurative works and techniques from the traditional cannon, while still remaining firmly embedded in the present day.
