Parumveer Walia (b. Chandigarh, India) is an emerging curator and artist working on the unceded and stolen territories of Vancouver, Canada. Walia’s curatorial practice is interested in the representative capacities of the image – what it can and cannot do. With a special interest in expanded media and queer aesthetics, his practice centres stories exploring the social margin. Walia recently concluded an art-writer residency at Centre A: Vancouver International Center for Contemporary Asian Art and is pursuing his minor in Curatorial Studies from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
