Raeann Kit-Yee Cheung achieved her MA in contemporary photography in 2021 from Falmouth University (UK). In 2022, she showcased her work at the Exposure Photography Festival, where she won the Photographer of the Year Award. At the same festival, she also won the Emerging Photographer’s Award, which led to a two- year solo travelling exhibition sponsored by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Her work has been exhibited throughout Alberta since, and she will be participating in a group exhibition at Gallery Gachet in 2023. Raeann currently lives, works, and plays on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda.
