Born in Texas, Robert Earnest spent his early youth travelling with his military family and living on Air Force and Marine Corps Bases. Given a camera as a gift when he went off to college, he soon became focused on this activity as a creative field and transferred to California’s OCC School of Photography for his Commercial Photography Certification. After graduation he undertook a five-year stint as a teaching assistant, then opened his first studio in Oakland, California. He moved to Vancouver in 1991 and set up a commercial photography business that continues to provide services to clients across Western Canada.
