Sharyn Yuen holds a BFA from the University of Victoria and has apprenticed at St. Armand Papermill, Montréal, and at Kurotani Village in Japan. She has exhibited at the Vancouver Art Gallery, Textile Museum of Canada (Toronto), Velan Centre for Contemporary Art (Italy), and Chisenhale Gallery (London) and has been the recipient of numerous Canada Council grants and BC Cultural Awards. Yuen has completed residencies at the Banff Centre School of Fine Arts, has taught at Emily Carr University of Art + Design and is a co-founder of Paper-Ya in Vancouver. She currently lives and works in Vancouver, BC.
