Born on the Canadian prairies, Shirley Wiebe is a Vancouver-based artist who has been exhibiting since the mid 1980s. She is a process-based artist who brings a reflexive approach to interaction with her materials. Wiebe’s work encompasses photography, drawing, installation, and songwriting. Connections between environment, memory, and identity form a continuous thread of questioning in these explorations.
