Svava Tergesen (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist currently living and working on the unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh Nations (Vancouver). Combining elements of sculpture, collage, and cooking her work reimagines experiences of domesticity, gender, and health. Recently, Tergesen was long-listed for the new Generation Photography Prize, and was short-listed for the Philip B. Lind Emerging Artist Prize (2020) where her work was presented at The Polygon Gallery. Tergesen holds a BFA in Photography from Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and a BFA in Mathematics from McGill University.
