Sylvana dAngelo studies the human condition and endeavours to understand culture through superstition and belief. Blurring the lines between what could be real from what is real, her work is a visual study of idealism. Studying photography at OCAD University and then graphic design at George Brown College, both in Toronto, her work is informed by both mediums and seeks to understand the digital process as a platform for new ideas. She has shown photographic works at Dynamo Arts Association, Unit/Pitt and the Vancouver Art Gallery (for the Vancouver Art Book Fair) in Vancouver; Art Fag in Toronto; and WORM in Rotterdam.
