Teresa Ng

Teresa Ng grew up and went to elementary school in Hong Kong before moving to Canada with her family in 1976. Ng has been a Megaphone and Hope in Shadows vendor since 2012. “When I’m selling, I’m standing around and losing weight,” she says. “I’m exercising and keeping healthy. When I walk around, I won’t have a heart attack.” But it’s the personal connections to her community and Megaphone staff that she enjoys most. “Time is very flexible for me,” she adds. When not taking pictures or selling Megaphone, Teresa keeps busy reading journals, studying for her class 5 driver’s licence, drawing pictures, doing pottery, sewing, and designing fashion. With her artistic leanings, she also enjoys making jewellery for sale through the Enterprising Women Making Art organization.
