Valia Russo

Valia Russo lives and works in Paris, France. Through his work he explores the intersections of photography, sculpture, video, and installation. Valia is both a creator and collector of images, producing his own photographs while reusing existing images. His research focuses on the production, circulation and consumption of images, as well as their hybridization in the context of contemporary economic and social, exploring also, the magical aspects attributed to them. He holds a Master in Photography from Ecole nationale de la photographie de Arles (France, 2022) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins (London, 2019). Valia is currently in a post-graduate program on Artificial Intelligence at Ecole nationale de la photographie de Arles (France). His work has been exhibited at Rencontres internationale de la photographie (Arles, 2024), Fuzhou Strait Culture Art Center (China, 2024), Festival internationale de la photographie de Niort (France, 2023).
