A workshop by Peripheral Review
The workshop explores and tests the boundaries of the exhibition review through multiple literary and artistic methods, including poetry, critical analysis, and experimental writing. Artist and writer Kristina Fiedrich and Peripheral Review Editor Lauren Lavery will facilitate a discussion, readings, and workshop to help navigate the space for abstraction in the written review.
Peripheral Review is an online platform for documenting and expanding the Vancouver and Toronto art scenes while enabling access for emerging artists and writers. Through publishing critical exhibition reviews, interviews, and artistic responses, the magazine strives to bring together multiple perspectives to form a cohesive, thorough, and expansive dialogue.
Kristina Fiedrich holds an MAA in Visual Arts (ECUAD, 2012) and an MA in Comparative Media Arts (SFU, 2015). She has exhibited nationally and internationally and received awards for excellence in academics, printmaking, and photography. Alongside her practice, Fiedrich is Arts Programmer for the City of New Westminster.
