In-person at Cineworks Independent Filmmakers Society
The Atomic Photographers Guild, founded in 1987, is an international collective of photographers dedicated to making visible all facets of the nuclear age. The exhibition, Plutonium & Silver, features photography from Guild members produced since 1945 to 2024, including those by pioneers Berlyn Brixner and Yoshito Matsushige, who captured the devastation of Hiroshima.
In this engaging artist talk, Photographer and Guild Advisory Board Member, Jesse Andrewartha, will present selected images, their significance and the profound influence of the Guild’s photographic exploration on public understanding of nuclear issues.
The exhibition, Plutonium and Silver, will be displayed at Cineworks Independent Filmmakers Society from April 8th to 12th, 2024. It is part of the International Uranium Film Festival, which will be screened concurrently at the venue.
