The origins of the word ‘photography’ come from the Greek φῶς (phos), meaning “light,” and γραφή (graphê), meaning “drawing, writing.” Writers and photographers have been using their chosen craft to document and make statements about society, culture, and the world as they observe it since both mediums have existed. Join us on a photo excursion and celebrate this history by taking photographs inspired by quotes from your favourite writers. Exchange ideas and be inspired by others on the walk. Submit your best images for an exhibition in the Beau gallery space.
Please note that this event will include approximately 2km of walking and standing outdoors. Please prepare accordingly.
