Curator’s Tour | Faber Mo Neifer: It’s All Chinese to Me

ADMISSION
Free

Join the curator, Hilary Letwin, for a guided tour of the exhibition It’s All Chinese to Me. This exhibition includes photographs of the signs of Chinese restaurants from across Canada by Coquitlam artist, Faber Mo Neifer. In this series, the artist explores the ways in which Chinese people are othered, and asserts belonging for himself and the Chinese diaspora in Canada. Mo Neifer’s practice is rooted in the discursive nature of photographic images, exploring contemporary identity. He completed his Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with a concentration in Photography at Concordia University, and graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a major in Photography and a minor in Social Practices and Community Engagement.

This tour has been timed so that visitors can attend this tour directly after a Curator’s tour at 1:30 p.m. of Meera Margaret Singh: What We Hold, which is on at the Evergreen Cultural Centre, located in the same complex at Town Centre Park Community Centre.
