Join Katherine Neil for a walking tour of Joseph Staples’s outdoor exhibition, displayed on the storefront windows of businesses around the Gastown BIA. Often, collages are made from many different images that are used only once. For the Falun Series, Staples investigates if something lasting can be made by returning over and again to one series of images.
After the tour, there will be a post-tour reception at lululemon lab.
Tour is FREE and open to the public. RSVP required.
Tour participants will meet at Capture’s Office at 305 Cambie St, Vancouver.
lululemon lab is located at 50 Powell St, Vancouver.
Wine will be served at the reception courtesy of lululemon lab.
Accessibility: The tour will take place on public sidewalks. We will not be entering any of the businesses. However, some sidewalks in Gastown are paved with cobble stones and are uneven. The post-tour reception will be held at lululemon lab. Alcohol will be served, so the reception is 19+. We regret that due to ongoing maintenance work, this location will not be wheelchair accessible at the time of the event.
Joseph Staples’ Falun Series is presented by Capture Photography Festival in partnership with the Gastown BIA.
