Internationally known, LA-based artist Mona Kuhn is best known for her large-scale, atmospheric photographs of the human form. In this talk, Kuhn discusses her work included in The Polygon Gallery‘s a Handful of Dust exhibition, as well as her latest artist book She Disappeared into Complete Silence (Steidl, 2019). Photographed at a golden modernist structure on the edge of Joshua Tree National Park, the series carefully balance architectural lines, light reflections, and a single figure against the backdrop of the Californian desert.
Followed by a book signing.
