Join Capture Photography Festival’s TD Assistant Curator of Engagement, Sarah Wang, on a described tour of highlights from public art projects that are part of the 2026 Capture Photography Festival.

This tour will illustrate how these six works by local, national, and international lens-based artists recontextualize the human body and identity, and everyday objects elevated in surreal environments.

Spanning the eastside, central, and westside of Vancouver, this audio described tour takes us outside of the gallery space to contemplate art in a more public setting, its place in a fast-paced and ever-changing urban space, and how communities, both close and far away from home, gather together.

Presented in partnership with VocalEye. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

If you would like to make a donation to support Capture Photography Festival, please donate via Charitable Impact here. Amounts greater than $20.00 will receive a tax receipt.

Sarah Wang has a degree in art history and international relations from the University of Toronto where she studied visual culture and histories of socialist and post-socialist states. She works in the arts in Vancouver and is the TD Assistant Curator of Engagement at Capture Photography Festival.
