Artist talk at 6:30 pm, followed by a public reception at 7:30–8:30 pm in the Rooftop Pavilion, located on the fourth floor of the gallery.
Artist collective Wallpapers (Sara Ludy, Nicolas Sassoon and Sylvain Sailly) discuss their art practice as it relates to an expanded field of photography and the moving image. Wallpapers uses computer-generated animated patterns to produce site-specific installations. This artists’ talk is presented alongside the exhibition Beyond the Trees: Wallpapers in Dialogue with Emily Carr, which considers the relationship between painted and digital representations of nature, exploring how they can coexist.
Free for Vancouver Art Gallery members or with gallery admission.
