Waterlogue: A Conversation with Artist Valerie Durant

Virtual

Please note that this event is now virtual and on April 30th from 10:30am–11:30am. Sign up for the Zoom presentation here.

***

CARFAC BC will host, Waterlogue, my artist talk  during their weekly coffeebreak session this coming Thursday morning.

The session will start with some useful art updates from CARFAC and will then move to  some instruction on how to set up a Zoom and Powerpoint, which is where I will come in. You do not have to be a CARFAC member or an artist to join in but you will need to register and receive a password.

I will do a short presentation on my latest body of work, Portraits from the Anthropocene, which was part of the Capture PhotoFestival  Event Program. Gerri York will introduce the presentation and  there will be room for questions.

If you have some questions please send them.

Durant’s images from Portraits from the Anthropocene, and sculptural works in progress of objects, organic and inorganic, washed up along the shoreline, shot above and below the surface, consider seemingly invisible connections between the land and sea and the impact of human actions on the natural world.
