Louise Francis-Smith’s exhibition We Will Buy Your Dreams is a visual exploration of the psychological manipulation of the lottery targeting the vulnerable and the poor. It focuses on an old-fashioned corner store where locals gather to purchase their morning newspaper; this store is a magnet for escapist dreams of a better life.
