Apologue II
Hours
12-6 pm (during exhibition only)
For millennia people have used the personification of animals to communicate abstract ideas. They have adorned the walls of caves, appeared to us in constellations, folk tales, religious allegories, literature and in advertising.
In his tenth solo exhibition Apologue II, Dan Jackson introduces us to a cast of characters that extend an ancient system of communication to examine modern preoccupations. Exploring modern issues such as class, empathy, decay, love, gluttony, deliverance and other ideas,
Apologue II continues the exploration of the human condition that began thousands of years ago.
Supported by a London Drugs Printing Grant.
