Capture Photography Festival 2019 is fast approaching!
Capture runs April 3–30 in galleries and venues across Metro Vancouver — Featured Exhibitions, Selected Exhibitions, Public Art, Events, and a youth-oriented Learning Program. It is the largest festival of its kind in Western Canada, attracting over 100,000 attendees across 60+ venues!
Capture thrives as a result of the incredible contributions of time and skills from artists, administrators, and volunteers, sharing a common passion for photography and lens-based art. Does that sound like you?
If you’re interested in helping make 2019 our best yet, volunteer with Capture Photography Festival.
In addition to gaining access to events and exhibitions, volunteering with Capture means meeting likeminded people from all corners of Vancouver’s vibrant art community.
See below for available positions, little to no experience required. (Note: we are especially in need of positions with (+) beside them)
- Photography Framers (in March)
- Installation Support
- Tear-Down Support
- Event/Opening Photographers
- Event/Opening Videographers
- Event/Opening Assistants (+) — This includes door staff, coat check and bar staff. Bar staff is required to have a valid Serving It Right certificate
To volunteer with Capture, send us an email with “VOLUNTEER” in the Subject Line. Make sure to include which position(s) you are interested in, and your availability in April. (If you are volunteering with a friend, include their name and we’ll try to schedule you together!)
