The Audain Art Museum invites visitors to a special curatorial tour presented as part of Capture Photography Festival. Led by artist and guest curator Adad Hannah, alongside the Museum’s Gail & Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chief Curator, Kiriko Watanabe, the tour offers an inside look at Into the Wosk Collection: Discovery & Wonder.
From Henri Cartier-Bresson’s photograph of Henri Matisse to Edward Weston’s image of Pepper No. 30 and Shell, Hannah and Watanabe will share the curatorial vision, key themes, and creative dialogue behind their selection.

Adad Hannah
Adad Hannah is a Vancouver-based artist known for his work in video, photography, sculpture, and installation, often with a collaborative element. He holds a PhD and graduate degrees from Concordia University and an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art & Design.
Hannah has exhibited widely across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America. His work is held in numerous public and private collections nationally and internationally, and he has received several major awards for his practice. Hannah is currently a trustee of the National Gallery of Canada and is represented by Pierre-François Ouellette art contemporain in Montreal and Equinox Gallery in Vancouver.
Kiriko Watanabe
Kiriko Watanabe is the Gail & Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chief Curator at the Audain Art Museum (AAM). She holds a Master of Arts in Critical and Curatorial Studies from the University of British Columbia. Since 2018, she has played a key role in elevating the AAM’s national profile through ambitious exhibition programs.
At the AAM, Watanabe has led major curatorial projects including Manabu Ikeda: Flowers from the Wreckage, Out of Control: The Concrete Art of Skateboarding, and Emily Carr: Fresh Seeing – French Modernism and the West Coast. She also contributes to the presentation of significant touring exhibitions such as Riopelle: The Call of Northern Landscapes and Indigenous Cultures and Tom Thomson: North Star. In addition to her exhibition work, Watanabe takes care of the museum’s permanent collection, overseeing preservation, documentation, acquisitions, and cultural property certifications.
