Photobase: Re-imagined Memories

Gallery Hours

M–W, F: 9 am–5 pm: Th: 9 am–8 pm; Sa: 12–5 pm; Su: closed

Photobase features a diverse and inclusive collection of artists who use family photographs as the groundwork for their practice. A photograph can be read as truth or a reflection of a truth, and this group show exhibition explores the narrative of family. Intimate stories of love, loss, family history, immigration, addiction, and identity are woven together to create an exhibition that explores what family photographs can represent. Through traditional photography, digital images, collage and assemblage, photo transfer, and mixed media installations, this exhibition is a lens into our neighbours’, friends’, and strangers’ lives.
