Avalon Mott, one of the many talented curators we worked with for Capture 1.0, has a photography exhibition opening at Gallery 295 on January 10th (this Friday!). The exhibition, entitled Locate, explores how we establish a sense of place amidst increasingly binary notions of transience and permanence, and features work by emerging Vancouver photographers Andrew Jenkins, Avalon Mott (you read that right: she’s curated the exhibition and featured in it – a woman of many talents no doubt!), Bahar Habibi, David Peters, Jeff Downer, Shannon McCubbin, and Tess Sereda.
Take a look at Avalon’s work for Capture 1.0‘s Olympic Village Canada Line Installation with Emily Carr University of Art + Design!
Here’s the Facebook event page with more details.
