Art Beatus Gallery was founded in Hong Kong in 1992. With the addition of a second gallery in Vancouver, Canada, in 1996, Art Beatus was the first gallery of its kind operating simultaneously on both sides of the Pacific. Art Beatus represents and promotes international modern and contemporary art with a unique focus on, but not limited to, contemporary Asian art.
Collaborating with partners and associates in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia, Art Beatus also organizes special shows and exhibitions for a number of internationally acclaimed artists of non-Asian origins. Notwithstanding the gallery’s focus on contemporary Asian art, Art Beatus believes that its special exhibitions on artists of the highest calibre add to the artistic diversity and interests of the gallery and, more importantly, provide a frame of reference for appreciating, as well as evaluating, Asian art within an international context.
